Kinvara village is a very picturesque village on the sea. Dunguaire Castle is located in the town which during the summer hosts some Banquets while it also allows for visitors throughout the year.
Kinvara has two festivals throughout the year - Fleadh na gCuach in May and Cruninniu na mBad in August. There are many other festivals held during the year within close proximity to Kinvara.
- Galway Arts Festival - Usually last weeks of July
- Galway Races - last week July/1st week in August
- Clarenbridge Oyster Festival - 2nd Sunday in September
Kinvara is also on the northern tip of the Burren, just 2km from the Burren region, 20km from the Aillwee Caves in Ballyvaughan. Ideal base for visiting the Cliffs of Moher, Galway City and Connemara. The village rests on Galway Bay close to the monastic settlement of Kilmacduagh.
There are a number of Golf clubs with a short distance with Gort Golf Club being less than 7km from the property. As Kinvara is by the sea there are also a number of beaches close by with Traught being only 9km from the property.
